Why Should You Trust Me?
You can do things differently
I was literally born different. And I’ve walked to the beat of my own drum ever since (and especially in motherhood). The common thread through my life has always been authenticity and not being scared to be “different” or do different things than others - knowing that my intuition would always serve me.
I was born at home. I grew up bed-sharing. I was homeschooled until I chose to go to public high school. We shopped at natural food stores and participated in a food co-op when I was growing up. We had a community garden and I knew way more plants and animals than cartoon characters or famous people as a child.
As a pregnant first time mom-to-be, this trend continued. I worked with certified professional midwives. I had doulas on standby for my planned home birth. I started going to prenatal yoga classes and then even got certified to teach those same classes while on maternity leave.
Sleep, or the lack of when my son was younger, led me to the apparently controversial and polarizing decision to bed-share and not sleep train, despite so many other mothers telling me I should. Which brings us here - why you should trust me in guiding you and your child in the actually incredibly simple but unnecessarily over complicated realm of infant sleep and what’s required to step into your matrescence to make sleep and motherhood at large less stressful.
